Asia Cup 2025 Schedule
The 17th edition of Asia Cup 2025 Schedule will be held from September 9 to 28 in the UAE, featuring eight teams competing in a T20 format, and offering cricket fans a month-long festival of fast-paced action. The tournament will be a dress rehearsal of sorts for next year’s ICC T20 World Cup co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka.
The defending champions India have been clubbed in Group A with Pakistan, UAE and Oman while Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Hong Kong will comprise Group B. This will see the arch-rivals meet in a marquee group stage clash on September 14 at Dubai, followed by another high-voltage India-Pakistan encounter in the Super Four phase and potentially a third meeting if both reach the final.
Asia Cup 2025 Schedule & Venues
With the upcoming 2025 Asia Cup taking place in the UAE, there will be plenty of high-stakes rivalries and action to look forward to. The tournament will also mark the first time that India and Pakistan are playing in a T20 Asia Cup since the armed conflict between the two nations broke out in 2022.
The 2025 tournament will feature 8 teams, with the top two from each group advancing to the Super Four stage, where they will face the other three qualifiers from their group. The two teams with the most points will then go on to contest the final.
The five full members of the Asian Cricket Council – India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan – along with Oman, Oman and Hong Kong (who finished in the top-three positions at the 2024 ACC Men’s Premier Cup) have automatically qualified for the tournament.
